Customers, projects and jobs in your Convertor

Customer and site were two free text fields on a single PC. Type something different at the office than on the site, and you had two customers that were one. Now there is a tree: customers, projects underneath, jobs underneath those.

What fits in it

• The devices themselves: a tablet or a machine hangs under the customer it works for, or under a project or a job.

Where it is kept

On your account on mv3d.be, not on one PC. So every computer in the same company sees the same arrangement, and it survives when you change machines.

Assigning

Every tile has a button that opens a window with the whole tree in it, plus a search field. You choose where it belongs, or you create a new customer, project or job right there. Anything not yet placed sits under “not yet sorted” — a list to work down, not an error.

The first time

What your projects already carried as customer and site is taken over once: every customer name becomes a customer, every site name a project underneath. So you do not start with an empty tree.
