Privacy statement

Who are we?

MV3D is a sole proprietorship of Vincent Montreuil, Nieuwpoortstraat 14, 8570 Anzegem, Belgium. Company number BE 0672.960.066.

For anything to do with your data: info@mv3d.be or +32 477 99 56 51. You get an answer from the same person who writes the software — there is no department in between.

What data do we process?

Only what is needed to answer you, keep your licence working and issue an invoice:

• Contact form: your name, email, phone number, VAT number if you have one, your subject and your message. If you attach a file we keep it with your question.
• Keeping you posted: your email address only, to tell you when you can download.
• Quote and trial requests: your contact details and what you need.
• Customer account: your email, company details and billing details.
• Your licence: the licence holder’s email, a fingerprint of the device the software runs on, and the time of the last check-in. On activation and at that periodic check-in we derive the country and city from the IP address, so the software can suggest the right coordinate system and so we notice when one licence is used in ten places at once.
• Payment: the payment itself goes through Mollie. We see whether it succeeded; we store no card or account numbers ourselves.

Your drawings and machine files stay on your own computer. The software runs locally and does not send them to us.

On what grounds?

• To perform the contract: your account, your licence and your invoices.
• Because the law requires it: invoices must be kept for seven years.
• Legitimate interest: checking that a licence is not shared beyond what was agreed.
• With your consent: your email on the keep-me-posted list. You can withdraw that at any time.

How long do we keep it?

• Contact messages: two years at most.
• Quotes that come to nothing: six months.
• Invoices and accounts: seven years, a legal obligation.
• Licence data: for as long as the licence runs, and one year after.
• Your email on the list: until you unsubscribe.

Who do we share it with?

With no one, unless the law requires it. We do not sell data and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

To run the site we do work with a few suppliers: Vercel for hosting and Supabase for the database (both in the European Union), Mollie for payments, and our own mail server for sending. Each of them processes only what that task requires.

How do we protect it?

• All traffic to the site runs over an encrypted connection.
• Access to the admin is limited to MV3D and sits behind two-step verification.
• The database is in the European Union and access to it is set per table.

What are your rights?

• See your data
• Have it corrected if something is wrong
• Have it deleted
• Get a copy in a readable file
• Object to a particular processing
• File a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels
